Liquidation Of The Wild West

15 mins. Digital. 2000
William Butler Gates faces off with Theodore Kaczinski (the Unabomber) in the appropriation/adaptation of Sergio Leone’s classic spaghetti western.

Ted Kacsinski doesn’t sleep well. Professor of Mathematics at the esteemed U.C. Berkeley no longer contains the luster for a burgeoning madman. He wants to make it big and for the right cause. He’s got noble thoughts on his mind with sinister results. He feels that “the human race is at a crossroads.” He’s seen the Devil and it’s connected to a hard drive. He is plotting to download its participants. The first step is to go underground. He exits academia for a little wooden shack in the foothills of Montana. On a manual typewriter he begins his ludditious manifest – “except for a few radical environmentalist, welfare leeches, youth gangs, Satanists, neo-Nazi’s and militiamen, the system is sufficiently making people docile enough to carry out its logical conclusion- which is the complete control of human life on earth.”
